NATIONAL ID e-VERIFY PRIVACY POLICY

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) respects the privacy of its data subjects and recognizes the need for appropriate measures to protect the data collected in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act (DPA) of 2012, and other issuances of the National Privacy Commission.

This policy provides how the data are handled by PSA when visiting the National ID eVerify portal.

USE OF THE PERSONAL DATA

The term “User/s” shall refer to persons who are allowed to have access to the National ID eVerify, as mentioned in the Terms of Use of National ID eVerify.

In general, the personal data of the users who will create a National ID eVerify account on behalf of their agency/company/organization will be collected for the verification and evaluation of their application.

DATA PROTECTION, SHARING, AND RETENTION

Only the authorized personnel of the PSA shall be allowed to have access to the users’ data. The data collected shall not be disclosed outside the PSA without the consent of the users, except when authorized or required by law by any competent authorities. The PSA shall retain the personal data only as necessary, for the fulfillment of the purpose/s for which the personal data were collected and shall not exceed two (2) years from the date of collection. After which, the PSA shall dispose all personal data gathered in a secured manner to avoid further processing and risks of unauthorized disclosure.

DATA PRIVACY RIGHTS AND FEEDBACK

Should the users wish to exercise their rights to be informed, to object, to rectify, to access, and to erase or block their provided information as stipulated under Section 34 of the IRR of RA 10173, or should the users have any inquiries and feedback on this Privacy Policy, they may contact the PSA through the “Contact Us” page in the National ID eVerify.

This policy is subject to change at any time and its revision shall be posted on the portal.
